I'm not saying we shouldn't read the news. I'm simply offering a break from dreariness of it all. So, in the spirit of giving back to my fellow Americans, here's a little piece of my distorted mind that I hope will make you smile. Happy Friday! Happy Thursday night if you're on the other side of the world! ----------------------- (UPDATE: After re-reading this, I feel compelled to offer a quick caveat. Just because someone appears on this list, does NOT mean I find them dreamy. Some people just fit the mold so perfectly, they couldn't be overlooked. K...I feel better now.)
The other day, Z wore a shirt unbuttoned just so to reveal a patch of burly man chest hairs. He will HATE that I used the word "burly" there. In fact, he might hate that I brought up his chest hairs in a public forum at all. But who cares!? I always giggle and say something like, "What's up Tom?" when he does this but secretly, I think it's pretty sexy. Men SHOULD have chest hair and I absolutely HATE IT when they shave but that, my friends, is a story for another post. You guys (er...mostly gals, I suppose) know what I'm getting to here don't you? Who is the king of chest hair? That's right...Tom Freakin' Selleck! He's also the king of mustaches but, again, story for another post. So my handsome husband and Tom Selleck got me thinkin' - who else in our wide world is unafraid of chest hair exposure (aka man cleavage). Down the rabbit hole I go......to bring you "The Not So Definitive List of People You Might Know Who Often (or Even Occasionally) Show The World Their PG-rated Short and Curlies". OMG - I KILL me!
I find Simon Cowell to be a total DB but he is a frequent chest-hair-revealer so, on the list he goes.

It's rumored that Tom Jones' chest hair is actually insured...to the tune of 7 MILLION big ones!
Holy shit! I just had me a gibgasm! What a hunka man he was/is! Nom nom nom nom nom
And in other news....
Because surely a wet suit/vest outfit needs to be unzipped....down to there.
And of course, the one and only...TOM SELLECK. Ignoring the fact that he's advertising girly cigarettes, is that not the best photo of him ever? Look at those eyes! The dimples! The chesticles! Burly.Man.Hunk.
I think it must be due, in part (no pun intended), to the fact that I HATE teasing my hair. As in, I never do it...and when I try, I don't think I'm doing it right. Anyone else have this problem or have any tips? I know I'll be wearing my hair in a ponytail A LOT soon so I'd like to try something new.
I have no idea why this bothers me as much as it does but every time I go to get my eyebrows waxed (which, btw has become standard practice for me ever since I saw my wedding photos...yikes), the lady always asks, "You want mustache wax too?" Now look, I'll admit it took me a long time to notice my eyebrows were a wee unruly. I should have gotten a clue when my best gal pal ASKED if she could pluck them in college but I just thought she wanted to have a little makeover night. So anyway, it's entirely possible that I'm overlooking some minor excess lip hair but I have polled the most important judge of such things and he says I don't have a manstache. If the hubby is ok with my lip fuzz then why can't the nail salon people just let me be!?!?
I'm sure some will say it's their job to upsell but I have actually sensed a judgmental edge to their little voices when I've said no. At minimum, I get a "You sure??" Am I the only one with this problem? Does anyone else get the 'tsk tsk' treatment when they decline lip/chin waxes? Just curious...
I have made the executive decision that no hairs will be waxed from my face unless they bear a color other than blond i.e. if you can see it from a 2 feet out, it's going the way of the Dodo bird.
On a related note, has anyone seen Just Go With It? The eyebrow lady in that movie...freakin' hilarious!!
Lookah here!! You can't TELL (snap, snap, snap) me what to do and I don't care if this hairstyle brings back memories of scrunchies and fingerless gloves, I'm working it this summer! It's good for long hair on hot days. I get so tired of the same old ponytail and really, I don't think a ponytail is very flattering on me anyway. I wear braids a lot, mostly on days I'm riding the motorcycle but sometimes, shudder, I even rock the pigtail braids and a hat. I'm officially in the 30 to 35 range these days and I'm very aware this hairstyle would be on the page right before my age group in the "dress and act your age" portions of any given magazine but I don't care.
Just a quick note, if you're planning on wearing this braid, be brave and leave it messy. The one time this goes wrong is when it's too 'put together'. It should be loose and flowy. Go ahead...you know you wanna....
I must really love you people if I'd post a pic where my forehead was this shiny!
Hey look, it's my doppleganger (kidding)! But her hair does look fabulous, no?
I LOVE this stuff but it truly meets the "a little dab 'il do ya" criteria. I use this typically when I wear my hair stick straight. A couple of sprays gives it a beautiful shine, smells great, and minimizes the dried out look after straightening my hair. Make sure and put some distance between your noggin' and the nozzle...at least 6 to 8 inches and truly 2-3 sprays will get you through.
It smells terrific just like I have come to expect from Oscar Blandi products. It's that sweet smell of Jasmine that is neither too perfumey or too producty (And yes, mom, those ARE words! It's my blog dagummit. If I need to make up words to get my point across, it's my prerogative!)
My hair is as shiny as my shirt....in a good way!
Nevermind my weird expression or the fact that I'm (once again) humiliating my dog...look how soft and shiny my hair is!
This was after a couple of hours of dancing and my hair was all shine and no frizz! LOVE this product!
